Dear Families,

This Sunday, May 18, St. George Parish School hosts its annual Multicultural Fair from 12pm-3pm. The theme is We are the World and the event will feature food for sale, performances, and crafts from around the world. We are so blessed with a rich diversity of races, cultures, and ethnicities in our South Seattle Parish Family. Last weekend, we held our first Partners in the Gospel One Parish Plan gathering, where we had small group discussions available in five different languages. Participants had a chance to share about the gifts of their individual parishes and the Parish Family as a whole. Many expressed the gifts of welcome, community, and diversity that exist in our Cluster, “reflecting the richness of the Body of Christ”. I am struck by the Easter readings as we listen to how a small group of disciples spread the Christian faith through trial and adversity. Thanks to them, and to all our ancestors who passed on the faith, we have a vibrant local Church made up of people from all over the world! I encourage you to stop by St. George School this afternoon to help us celebrate our unity in diversity.

           Este domingo 18 de mayo, la Escuela    Parroquial St. George celebra su Feria Multicultural anual de 12:00 p. m. a 3:00 p. m. El tema es "Somos el Mundo" y el evento contará con venta de comida, presentaciones y artesanías de todo el mundo. Somos bendecidos con la rica diversidad de razas, culturas y etnias en nuestra Familia Parroquial del Sur de Seattle. El fin de semana pasado, celebramos nuestra primera reunión del Plan Parroquial "Socios en el Evangelio", donde tuvimos conversaciones en grupos pequeños disponibles en cinco idiomas diferentes. Los participantes tuvieron la oportunidad de       compartir los dones de sus parroquias y de la Familia Parroquial en su conjunto. Muchos expresaron los dones de acogida, comunidad y diversidad que   existen en nuestra Agrupación, "reflejando la riqueza del Cuerpo de Cristo". Me conmueven las lecturas de Pascua al escuchar cómo un pequeño grupo de     discípulos difundió la fe cristiana a pesar de las  pruebas y la adversidad. Gracias a ellos y a todos nuestros antepasados ​​que nos transmitieron la fe,  tenemos una Iglesia local vibrante compuesta por personas de todo el mundo. Os animo a que paséis por la Escuela St. George esta tarde para ayudarnos a celebrar nuestra unidad en la diversidad.

           Chủ Nhật tuần này, ngày 18 tháng 5, Trường Giáo Xứ St. George tổ chức Hội chợ Đa văn hóa thường niên từ 12 giờ trưa đến 3 giờ chiều. Chủ đề là Chúng ta là Thế giới và sự kiện sẽ có các loại thực phẩm để bán, các buổi biểu diễn và đồ thủ công từ khắp nơi trên thế giới. Chúng tôi rất may mắn khi có sự đa dạng phong phú về chủng tộc, văn hóa và dân tộc trong Gia đình Giáo xứ Nam Seattle của chúng ta. Cuối tuần trước, chúng ta đã tổ chức buổi họp đầu tiên của Đối tác trong Kế hoạch Một Giáo xứ Phúc âm, nơi chúng ta có các cuộc thảo luận nhóm nhỏ có sẵn bằng năm ngôn ngữ khác nhau. Những người tham gia đã có cơ hội chia sẻ về những món quà của giáo xứ của họ và Gia đình Giáo xứ nói chung. Nhiều người đã bày tỏ những món quà chào đón, cộng đồng và sự đa dạng hiện hữu trong Cụm của chúng ta, "phản ánh sự phong phú của Thân thể Chúa Kitô". Tôi rất ấn tượng với các bài đọc Phục sinh khi chúng ta lắng nghe cách một nhóm nhỏ các môn đồ truyền bá đức tin Cơ đốc qua thử thách và nghịch cảnh. Nhờ họ và tất cả tổ tiên của chúng ta đã truyền lại đức tin, chúng ta có một Giáo hội địa phương sôi động bao gồm những người từ khắp nơi trên thế giới! Tôi khuyến khích Ông Bà Anh Chị Em ghé thăm Trường St. George vào chiều nay để giúp chúng ta kỷ niệm sự hiệp nhất trong đa dạng của mình.
