Food Distribution

Dear Families

One week from tomorrow we have a wonderful opportunity to distribute food to our neighbors here in South Seattle. Saturday, June 27th we will  have one or two refrigerated trucks parked in our lot to distribute perishable food items (vegetables, fruit, deli meats, dairy products, etc.). We will begin the distribution at 10 am (or a little earlier if everything is ready) and conclude around noon. People will drive into the St. Edward parking lot from the Mead Street entrance between the Parish Hall and the old convent (down near the playground equipment). You will be directed where to park and wait for the food distribution. We ask that people stay in their cars and the volunteers will bring the box of food and place it in your trunk or the back seat of your car—whichever you prefer. Once you have received your food, you will be directed as to how to leave on either the Orcas Street or Mead Street exits. Please pass the word to people you know who might need extra help during this difficult time. Many people have lost jobs and anything we can do to help out makes a difference. We are limited to only one box per vehicle and it will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Attached are flyers in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Tigrinya and Amharic  and if you know people who read these languages you can pass them along.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Scott Connolly
