Divine Mercy Sunday

Dear Families

As most of you know, this weekend—the Second Sunday of Easter—is also known as “Divine Mercy” Sunday. We had planned a long time ago to have a time of prayer this Sunday, April 19th to honor the Divine Mercy of Jesus. We planned to offer this time of prayer at St. Paul. Since we can’t all be together, we decided to do it “virtually.” Jesus knows and understands and we are just grateful we can “gather” as parish communities to pray. We will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 pm at St. Paul and live stream it for all of our parishioners. Please join us in prayer. This afternoon I also received the attached letter from Archbishop Etienne that they have something planned at 2 pm at the Cathedral. If you want to live stream that you are welcome as well. In collaboration with the Archbishop we will begin our hour of prayer with the benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 3 pm. He is ending his period of prayer with the benediction. Let’s unite in prayer with the Church Universal in asking for God’s healing grace through his Son Jesus Christ—the Divine Mercy of God.
